"AS IS"
Not as they wish. The Vanity Fair Exposé.
As a visual person and artist, I cannot stop delighting in the recent (was it just yesterday?? Things come and go so fast!) Vanity Fair article and PHOTOS!!! I need to talk about those photos.
Genius.
To me they are pure Art, in statement alone. Whether it was the intention (or not!) to show these fascist pawns “as is” or not…a narrative was made.
THIS is what you get when you strip the Arts, both in funding, and in putting it down as having no importance. No relevance. You get: No creative filters. No attention to detail. No composition, just snap the picture. I fucking love this gallery.
(To be clear I mean NO insult to photographer, Christopher Anderson. His work is in fact so good, I would say he exerted quite the artistic muscle to achieve such a high level of accurate banality in these portraits. And while these personalities are indeed boring, the destruction they are causing most certainly is not).
AS IS!!! Let’s look at her. Mzzz Leavitttt
I’ll start with this: She’s a pretty gal! It’s what’s underneath that carries the ugly, and THAT has a way of rising to the surface. It’s comical to me that whatever she thought she was doing with the makeup on her nose… did not work. What comes to mind for me is the orange! Representing the stain from her daily insertion so far up the bloated orange one’s assssssss, it cannot be unseen. Also fun to see the injection holes from her lip filler, as if she needs anything to add to her BIG MOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!
NEXT!!!
Look at him. It’s perfect. It is exactly as we always see him. The disdain he has for everything, and that disdain starts with himself. Forever jumping from one version of a person to another, and all of them stink. You can see the smells in his face. The full length shot kills me. Crappy composition? Or is it perfect! He’s schlumpy and askew. Next to the temperature gauge because we never know if he’s coming in hot (as he did with Zelensky in the Oval) or tryna be cool (like when he said anybody who likes turkey is “full of shit”). His own shadow in this is far more interesting, in a “here comes Pennywise” sort of way. Cracks me UP!
Nasferatu Miller:
Somewhere between a 1936 mafia mugshot and something from the morgue. This photo is a foreshadowing of what is to come for him. I look forward to it.
Rubio, oh Rubio. Wherefore art thou, Rubio?
What could have been, eh Rubio? Cuban American turned black vs white. Brown vs white. A very spotty political complexion, indeed. Apropos that this is a perfect portrait of regret. there’s also the full length shot of him, just inside a door, gloomy lighting, looking down at his feet realizing he’s “over his skiis”. It almost makes me sad. Almost…
There’s more pictures, of course. The profile shot of Dan Scavino, looking like a Nazi without even turning his head. Susie Wiles inability to remove the fear from her face, realizing she probably said too much, but clearly was so overwhelmed by ego that SHE got to be interviewed by VF.
This entire article and photo gallery was a gift. A pleasantry as we trudge daily through the sludge of this wholly unqualified, undignified, hateful regime. This is powerful artistry. Art is life, and this was no imitation. This is realism at it’s finest.
Their lack of self awareness as to who they truly are shining through…
A quote from JD Vance sums it up: “Is this the part where you say we’re all evil?”
No, JD. YOU said it. You ALL said it. Every damn day you say it. All Vanity Fair had to do was turn on the recorder and snap the camera. AS IS. Evil.

Hilarious. Thanks for your astute insights!
Our Evil Drag Queen of a VP-what will we ever do without him. Hilarious read, Mo.
