Oh, I have such very strong opinions about this! Even though switching from medium to medium feeds all the artistry in someone who makes art (and elevates it all), the committee would have it that you choose one, dammit, or be forever tarred as Dilletante. I'm so acutely aware of how all those mores and conventions are rotten saboteurs for what allows for and invites true-to-the-bone art.
These paintings are GLORIOUS. Congratulations on your launch, Artist Mo!
Keep up with the painting! Love it!! One of my favorite quotes (from the show Fringe) is, "There are no limits, except for those that we impose on ourselves". IMO, these 'limits' that we impose on ourselves is the main ingredient of imposter syndrome! Or you can look at it Rainer Maria Rilke-style...“If, when you wake up in the morning, you can think of nothing but making art . . . then you are an artist.” :)
Hey Mo-LOVE your art so much! Some of my favorite artists are: Van Gogh, Andrew Wyeth, Normal Rockwell, Grandma Moses, John William Waterhouse, Picasso's blue period, and there is a Vermont artist that I love named Lore Pemberton. I'm getting more into folk art now especially, with an intense love for New England folk art. Love to you!
Mo,
Love it. You are an Artist! Rock on!
My almost 2 year old loves to paint and color. It’s a mess but I love her joy. You have that joy. Keep it Mo you’re awesome! 💜💜
However you got there...keep at it! The paintings are beautiful. xo
Whoa, The Committee is eerie and moving and I love it. You are most definitely an Artist. Love the garden studio!
I always look forward to your articles. You are obviously talented in MANY fields...in other words...an artist with a capital A.
Capital T for Thank you 😊
Moe paints Heads and Seats, Gardens so divine,
Faces and flowers, in colors that shine.
With a twist of surreal, there's a piece you will need,
"Memory Drip," look at your own peril, indeed.
Bright and lovely, her canvases gleam,
A symphony of colors, like a whimsical dream.
With every stroke, new stories unfurl,
In the vibrant world of this artistic whirl.
So, explore Moe's art, take a curious glance,
At www.MoCollinsArt.com, give it a chance.
Posies, Picasso profiles, and more await,
In the world of her artistry, it's never too late!
Awwww!!! This is great!!! Thank you!!!! 🌸
